The play runs Wednesdays through Sundays between November 29th and December 17th at 7:30 pm with a 2:00 pm matinee show on Sundays. All tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested price of $35.
In A Christmas in Ochopee, antics and chaos unfold as Junior, a Cal-Tech student, brings his unannounced, vegan, fiancé home for the holidays in the Everglades swamps of South Florida. Unexpected guests and newly uncovered secrets only help to enliven the already present tension--not to mention, an unforeseen item on the dinner menu thats sure to make any visitor think twice about having an alligator as a pet!

A Christmas in Ochopee is written by Miccosukee playwright Montana Cypress who is also a filmmaker and actor is the winner of the Von Marie Atchley Excellence in Playwriting Award and was a Semi-Finalist for the Eugene O’ Neill Playwriting Conference.
The show features both up-and-coming and seasoned Native actors, typical of New Native Theatre’s aesthetic, including Bradley Lewis, JaLisa McKee, Thomas Draskovic, Genevieve Lane, David Valentine, Rebekah Crisanta de Ybarra, James Harvin, Roya Taylor, and Jacqueline Zepeda.
