Contranormativa
During our time together we will move, we will read & write, and inhabit dissident states of being. How are we with one another? How do we practice being in ways that deviate from societal standards of acceptable behavior—to practice the 'ugly'. How do we care for one another amidst the ugliness? Within this framework we will deepen our intrinsic richness and the vastness we share, exploring the unique beauties that weave our hearts through difficult times. Our bodies as landscapes, as territories of abundance. This is a space to be, to practice, to create, to build. We will tend to each other as much as we will tend to ourselves. May our sounding heal us.This movement research workshop is open to queer/trans people and allies, and to those attuned to or researching their connection to body, land, language, and voice.
